In 1966, Henry Louis Blum filed two patents on behalf of the Yema watch brand, one in the United States and the other in Switzerland. These patents introduced a chronograph with a countdown function specifically designed for sailing regattas.
The Yema Yachtingraf features a high-quality stainless steel case measuring 38mm and is powered by the precise manual-winding Valjoux 7730 movement.
Its standout feature is the regatta chronograph, positioned at 3 o’clock on the dial, designed to measure elapsed time leading up to a race start and during the race itself. Additionally, it includes an adjustable countdown timer, a critical tool where every second matters in competitive sailing.
