Bulova Vintage Wrist Alarm
As many of you may already know, Bulova boasts a remarkable history as a watch manufacturer. Founded in 1875 by Joseph Bulova in New York, the brand has been responsible for some groundbreaking innovations, including the legendary Accutron. Introduced in 1960, the Accutron was the world’s first fully electronic watch, utilizing tuning-fork technology to achieve unparalleled accuracy. Now part of the Citizen Group, Bulova continues to produce heritage-inspired timepieces, though nothing quite like the Wrist Alarm we have here today.
This particular watch (very good looking for its age) features a refined yet understated 34mm stainless steel case with gold plating, complemented by elegantly tapering lugs. The case design is a testament to simplicity and sophistication. Measuring just over 10mm in thickness, it maintains a slim profile, though part of that is due to the domed acrylic crystal. Inside, a manually wound Bulova caliber powers the watch, offering a unique and functional alarm complication.
What makes this piece truly unique is that it still comes with its original box and blank papers—something you rarely come across! See the photos for details!
