This is a rare and uncommon Rado Diastar “Magic” model, featuring a gold-tone tungsten-carbide case and a striking Tiger-eye stone dial. Like many Diastars from the 1970s, it comes with a faceted sapphire crystal, a day/date display at 6:00, and a brand-new leather strap.
What truly sets this piece apart is the stunning dial. Instead of the usual rotating anchor logo found on most Rado automatics, this model has a printed anchor logo. The white printed text and applied markers beautifully contrast with the warm, natural tones of the Tiger-eye dial — giving this watch a distinctive and collectible character.
A unique piece in good condition for its age. The crystal does have some small chips around the edges, but these are barely noticeable when worn. Additionally, there is a fine hairline crack on the dial, running diagonally from the 11 o’clock position toward the lower right. However, this is subtle and does not detract from the overall appearance.
